Poor Decisions

We are still putting this information together. Do you remember a poor decision? Let us know. We will continue to follow his poor decisions as long as he is GM.

Brett Favre Traded.

Unwanted by the Packers, Favre has been traded to the Jets where he is receiving a hero's welcome.

Ryan Grant offered embarrassing contract

In the middle of a media circus surrounding the Packers and Favre, Thompson offered a ridiculously low contract to Grant. Grants agent described offer as "insulting".

Fans are reminding us about:

Article: Favre can't win when it comes to office politics. Thanks Vikki

See how Corey Williams felt about Packer management back in March. Thanks Brent.

John B says: "One that should not be overlooked is the loss of Ryan Longwell. He seems to be making field goals just fine, in Minnesota. "

Michaeleen says: "Picking Justin Harrell as a a first round draft choice"

Matt C: "Moss of course. Brady had a career high of 29 TD passes in a season before Moss, 50 with Moss. Brett Favre asked Thompson to go after Moss and even offered up some of his own salary. Thompson didn't budge."

Pat C. asks "Why was Mike Sherman fired? Who didn't like him?"

Why Fire Ted?

Their are lots of reasons Ted Thompson should be fired. Our focus is on two of those reasons.

1. His decisions has called the ethics and integrity of the entire Packer organization into questions by both athletes and fans.

2. He has hurt the ability for the Packers to retain and secure quality athletes at reasonable prices, which will affect the ability for the team to win in the future. He has undone what Reggie White, Ron Wolf, and Bob Harlan accomplished.

Here is what Packer Fans say:

Went to the game on Monday night- We left during the 3rd quarter (NEVER DID THAT BEFORE) and didn't bother to find out the score until the next day- I have no respect for what has happened in Green Bay- Ted Thompson did this to me! - Shawn P.

I was born and raised in Green Bay. I have lived the past 10 years in downtown Chicago. I cannot tell you how many people over the years have told me they were raised to despise/hate the Packers, but one person changed that for them.....Brett Favre. Trading Brett has made us lose thousands of fans who respected our organization because of what Brett Favre brought along with his presence. Not only that...think of what he did for the economy in Green Bay. Thousands of people have religiously flocked to Green Bay to see Brett play (and stay in our hotels, eat in our establishments, etc)...not anymore. Shame on Ted Thompson and what he has done for the entire town and legacy. - Jenn V.

Not only did Thompson run Favre out of town, but he did it without having a solid Plan B. Aaron Rodgers might turn out to be an OK quarterback, but who's behind him? Rodgers has a history of getting injured, and who do we have as back ups? Two rookies. Our pool of QBs have a combined ZERO NFL starts. And this is good? - Ann S.

The owner of Stadium View reported on Channel 5 exclusive interview that Brett was prepared to sign a 2 year contract on his return. Yet McCarthy in the press conference interview on Friday August 8 repeatedly stated Brett was "not of the mind set" to commit to the Packers. What the heck is this??? Also NFL reporter Scott Hansen reported that Brett was not allowed in the locker room later on in the evening of Family Night when management was that very day stating that Brett "would be welcomed back with open arms". What the heck is that??? Bottom line, put McCarthy on the fire list as well, along with Murphy.... better yet, get rid of all three of the most despicable men I have ever seen or heard. - name withheld

We all need to stick together to get the three stooges fired. We cannot forget what they have done to Brett, the Packers image, and all of America's team's fans. First Ted, then the other two who listened to him, must go. We cannot let people forget this terrible thing that has happened here. - Pat C.

As a long time Packer fan and share holder I am very disappointed in the handling of the Brett Favre situation. - Pam B.

I would further say that Mike should join Ted somewhere other than Green Bay. He should have fought to retain Brett Favre instead of his lack of any real support. - Ben B.

As I recall TT wouldn't resign some wanted veteran O-lineman - went with cheap newbies -- ended up running his backs into the face of an unblocked D resulting in back after back going down to injury until we started Samkon Gado -- also, now dependant on the recievers for any offense at all they gt overused and the D knew it was coming so we blew a lot of them up causing the only known play on offense left .. Brett .. to think he had to do it all and so he threw 29 int's ...now somewhere in here Brett got the screwy idea TT wans't aiding him on offense and didn't really want him around ... But I say those 29 Int's are Thompsons doing as his idiocy let the defense loose one his unsuspecting offense... Also .... What player in their right mind would want to come play for GB after seeing how they are willing to publicly screw their HOF icon...and please read this Aaron as you are next ... if you want to remain a packer A)don't get famous enough to be popular and B) dont ask for a raise - Kevin H.

More Packer Fans Comments:

how about wasting a first round draft pick on the justin harrel kid that has not helped the team at all how about signing those 2 rookie qb's in the middle of the favre comeback so that they had 3 signed quaterbacks on roster almost making the comeback impossible how about you not wanting favre but being so scared of him coming in there and whooping your ass 2 a year that dont tell you in his heart he knew favre was the best choice for the team the bottom line is arron is his draft pick and he wants to make a name for himself - Robert L.
